IDEM goes paperless with our NE File Cabinet

When looking to create a department-wide system to efficiently capture millions of documents annually in a variety of formats including numerous paper and electronic file conditions, the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) turned to the NE File Cabinet by OPS.

Powered by OPS' NE FrameWork, the solution includes secure web-based functionality to completely eliminate the need for internal and public users to process, maintain, file, or access hard copy documents. It also enables IDEM to meet rigorous state and federal mandates and satisfy all queries associated with environmental information.

By building upon the NE FrameWork, OPS created a custom solution to meet all of IDEM's document management needs. With its solution (dubbed the "Virtual File Cabinet"), IDEM processes all documentation on a real-time basis. The VFC includes forms management functionality to process forms electronically along with web portal functionality to allow public access to environmental information.
